The state of Himachal Pradesh
is made up of ten districts with a total area of 56,019 sq
km. The northern boundary of Himachal Pradesh is
bounded by Tibet, in the north-west it borders Kashmir, in
the south lie the plains of Punjab and the eastern border
is regular with the hills of Uttar Pradesh. The state is
rugged and mountainous, and the valleys of Lahaul and
Spiti are the vision of mountaineers.

mountaineering opportunity in the world, along with
Skiing, Kayaking, Para gliding and Hang-gliding. All this
and the healthy climate and some of the most charming
sights have made Himachal Pradesh the most exciting
tourist location in the whole country.

Treks in Himachal Pradesh
Lying amidst scenic surroundings the untouched village of
Shoja is situated in the Kullu district of Himachal
Pradesh. Set at an altitude of 9000 ft, the camp is
encompassed by towering alpine trees. The meadows are
covered with vibrantly coloured wild flowers which bloom
almost all through the year. The habitat is superbly rich
in Himalayan species of birds, and other forms flora and
fauna.

There are numerous passes which connect the valleys,

toughness, as the weather here is generally cold. The best

Himachal Pradesh has acquired a special place in Himachal
