ALAPPUZHA BEACH
Alappuzha beach also identified as Alleppey beach is one of the most popular spots in the district of Alappuzha. The pier, which extends into the sea here, is around 140 years old. With the Arabian Sea on the west and a vast network of lakes, lagoons and several freshwater rivers criss-crossing it; Alappuzha is a district of massive natural beauty. Referred to as the Venice of the East by travelers from across the world, this Backwater Country is also home to diverse animal and bird life. By virtue of its nearness to the sea, the town has always enjoyed a unique place in the maritime history of Kerala.

CHERAI BEACH
Cherai Beach is 45 kms from ernakulam city, this lovely beach bordering Vypeen Island is ideal for swimming. Dolphins are irregularly seen here. A typical kerala village with paddy fields and coconut groves nearby is an added attraction.

VALAPATTANAM BEACH
Kannur is that part of the legendary Malabar Coast where King Solomon's ships anchored to collect timber to build the 'Temple of the Lord' and to protect most needed spices. Valapattanam Beach is also a famous fishing harbor as well as the main source of the irrigation project in the district. It is a fascinating experience to watch the traditional mode of timber transportation - by tying long pieces of timber together and allowing them to float down the stream.

MUZHAPILANGAD BEACH
The Muzhapilangad beach which stretches across four kilometers of sand is a drive-in beach where one can drive down the entire length. Calm and serene, the place is sheltered and remains unexplored. Huge black rocks scattered here protect this long beach from the deep currents, and form a tranquil pool of shallow waters that is a swimmer's paradise. The palm groves fringing the beach is a cool camouflage from the tropical sun.

KOZHIKODE BEACH
Kozhikode Beach, the most important region of Malabar in yesteryears, was the capital of the powerful Zamorins and also a important trade and commerce center. It was here at Kappad that Vasco Da Gama landed in his search for the spices of the Orient. Today the serene beaches, lush green countryside, historic sites, all combine to make this a popular tourist destination filled with a warm ambience.

KAPPAD BEACH
Kappad beach, 16 km from Kozhikode, stranded on the shore of history with the landing of Vasco Da Gama on 27th of May, 1498. Even after 500 years of the epoch-making mooring of the maverick navigator, Kappad remains calm, as if calamitous changes had just scrubbed around this spot. The beach, strewn with nation fishing boats, is still in pristine beauty.

KOVALAM BEACH
Kavalam Beach is located on the Malabar Coast along the Kerala shoreline is a small village of Kovalam. This quiet town of Kovalam came on the tourist map, when its beautiful and secluded beaches were discovered. Today Kovalam has become one of the most popular beach hangouts in India. Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and truly the coconut trees along the beaches gives it a ravishing look.

VARKALA BEACH
Varkala beach is situated 54 Km north of Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. The beach is a popular holiday destination among those looking for relaxed and quiet holidays.Varkala beach is also called ' Papanashini' since it is believed that a dip in the holy waters of Varkala beach will purify your body and soul.

PATHIRAMANAL BEACH
The little island of Pathiramanal, on the Backwaters is a favorite haunt of hundreds of rare migratory birds from different parts of the land. Surrounded by the Vembanad Lake, stretching from Alappuzha to Kochi and the Kayamkulam Lake. The green island thus forms an ideal place for a break in the journey while on a backwater cruise. The mainland Alappuzha has a vast network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water rivers criss-crossing it and is a district of immense natural beauty.
