About Miramar Beach
Miramar Beach is the nearest beach from the
capital of the Goa, Panaji. The beach is just 3 km from
Panaji in the north of the state and a km away from Dona
Paula. It lies adjoining the estuary of the river
Mandovi as it opens into the Arabian sea. The Miramar
beach is also popularly known as the Gaspar Dias
beach. The Miramar beach expands up to 2 kilometers and
is an ideal beach for evening walks. Given its fine
location, one can catch a charming view of the sea. |

Tourist Attractions
Fort Aguada
The Agonda beach is situated towards the north of Goa.
It lies a bit secluded from the mainland and thus is a
bit difficult to reach. There are no local buses that
ply here. So one can always take a cab or hire a bike
and reach here. The Agonda beach is a 3-kilometer long
beach, which is no less than paradise.
River Mandovi
River Mandovi is an added attraction for this beach
which has a thick grove of shady palm trees forming a
dense canopy over the area.
Beach Activities
you could indulge in any of the exciting water sports
such as surfing or parasailing, or go swimming in the
clear blue sea, or even try your hand at building a sand
castle or playing a game of beach volleyball. Water
sports are one of the most thrilling beach activities,
and some of the Indian beaches have the best of
aqua-sport equipment such as water-scooters and
high-speed boats.
Getting There
Air: The Dabolim airport in Panaji is just 3 kms away
from Miramar beach.
Road: One can reach Miramar beach within minutes from
Panaji. Buses are available for Panaji. One can hire
taxis or bikes also.
